About the event
Indraprastha Nritya Mahotsav 2026 is a three-day celebration of India’s classical dance heritage, bringing together eight recognised dance traditions at the historic Purana Qila in New Delhi. The festival will showcase the grace of Manipuri and Mohiniyattam, the dramatic expression of Kathakali, the devotional character of Sattriya, and the rhythm, storytelling and expressive vocabulary of Kathak, Odissi, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.
Scheduled from 2 to 4 October 2026, beginning at 6:30 PM each evening, the festival aims to present the diversity of Indian classical dance through live performances in a historic cultural setting. Entry is announced as free, making the programme accessible to audiences, students, artists and lovers of Indian classical arts.
