Lasya Labanya Classical Dance Festival

A prestigious two-day national classical dance festival held annually in Bhubaneswar, presenting curated performances by eminent exponents and rising stars across Odissi, Bharatanatyam, and Kathak.

Founded by acclaimed Odissi dancer, teacher, and choreographer Dr. Dipti Routray under the banner of Biswanath Sangeetalaya (Cuttack), the Lasya Labanya Classical Dance Festival is a flagship platform dedicated to celebrating the aesthetic purity, expressive depth, and vibrancy of classical dance. While anchored firmly in the guru-shishya lineages of Odissi, the festival fosters cross-cultural dialogue by bringing together senior masters and emerging ensembles from traditions across India. The event features thematic group productions, dynamic solo and duet recitals, and confers the prestigious Lasya Labanya Lifetime Achievement Award upon veteran gurus for their lifelong contributions to classical performing arts.
