Follow these simple steps to register for Taalika and start your journey in the Odissi dance community.
Registration Process
Creating an account on Taalika is quick and straightforward. You'll need a valid email address to get started.
Step 1: Navigate to the Sign Up Page
Go to the Taalika homepage
Click the "Get Started" button in the top right corner
Select "Sign Up" if you don't have an account

Step 2: Fill in Your Information
Enter the following details in the registration form:
Email Address: Use a valid email you can access for verification
Password: Create a strong password (at least 8 characters)
Confirm Password: Re-enter your password to confirm

Password Requirements: Your password must be at least 8 characters long. We recommend using a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters for security.
Step 3: Verify Your Email
After submitting the form, check your email inbox
Look for an email from Taalika with the subject "Verify Your Email"
Click the verification link in the email
You'll be redirected to Taalika and your account will be activated
Didn't receive the email? Check your spam folder. The verification email should arrive within a few minutes. If you still don't see it, you can request a new verification link from the login page.
Step 4: Complete Your Profile
Once your email is verified:
Log in with your email and password
You'll be prompted to complete your basic profile information
Add your name and select your preferred language
Choose your initial user role (you can change this later)

After Registration
Congratulations! You now have a Taalika account. Here's what you can do next:
Explore Your Dashboard: Navigate to "My Taalika" to see your personalized space
Set Up Your Profile: Add a profile picture and bio
Choose Your Path: Decide if you want to create a dancer profile, school profile, or start contributing
Browse Content: Explore existing dancers, schools, events, and Odissipedia entries
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Email Verification Link Doesn't Work
If clicking the verification link doesn't work, try copying and pasting the full URL into your browser. Verification links expire after 24 hours, so request a new one if yours has expired.
Account Already Exists
If you see a message that an account with your email already exists, try logging in instead of signing up. If you forgot your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page.
Can't Receive Verification Email
Possible solutions:
Check your spam/junk folder
Add noreply@taalika.in to your email contacts
Try using a different email provider if the issue persists
Contact support if you continue having problems
