Account Security
Changing Your Password
Navigate to My Taalika → Profile
Scroll to the Security section
Click "Change Password"
Enter your current password
Enter and confirm your new password
Click "Update Password"
Password Tips: Use at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Don't reuse passwords from other websites.
Changing Your Email
Go to Account Settings
Find the Email Address field
Click "Change Email"
Enter your new email address
Verify the change via email sent to both addresses

Privacy Controls
Profile Visibility
Control who can see your personal profile:
Public: Anyone can view your profile (default)
Members Only: Only registered Taalika users
Private: Only you can see your profile
To change visibility:
Go to Profile Settings
Find "Profile Visibility"
Select your preferred option
Click "Save"
Email Privacy
Your email address privacy:
Never shown: Email is private by default
Optional display: You can choose to show it on your profile
Contact form: Users can contact you without seeing your email
Search Engine Visibility
Control whether search engines can index your profile:
Allow indexing: Your profile appears in Google, Bing, etc.
Block indexing: Search engines won't index your profile
Note: Blocking search engine indexing only applies to your personal profile, not to dancer profiles or school profiles you create, which are designed to be public.

Email Notifications
Choose what notifications you receive via email:
New Messages: When someone sends you a message
Event Updates: Changes to events you're following
Circle Activity: Updates from your circles
Weekly Digest: Summary of platform activity
Newsletter: Monthly Taalika updates
Announcements: Important platform news
In-App Notifications
Manage notifications you see while using Taalika:
Real-time Alerts: Instant notifications in the app

Taalika integrates with third-party services:
Google Maps: For location features (subject to Google's privacy policy)

These services have their own privacy policies. We carefully select partners who respect user privacy.
Account Deletion
To permanently delete your account:
Go to Account Settings
Scroll to Danger Zone
Click "Delete Account"
Confirm your decision (this cannot be undone)
Your account and personal data will be deleted within 30 days
Warning: Deleting your account removes all your personal data, but public content like dancer profiles and Odissipedia contributions may be retained for community benefit. Contact support if you want to remove public content before deletion.

✓ Enable two-factor authentication (if available)
✓ Keep your email secure
✓ Log out on shared devices
✓ Review privacy settings regularly
✓ Be cautious about what you share publicly
✓ Report suspicious activity immediately
