Alapa Cultural Trust was established in 2017 and is led by President Badri Narayan Mohanty and Director Guru Nimakanta Routray. The Trust offers comprehensive programs to teach authentic Odissi music traditions to beginners through advanced students, including regular classes, special courses, and immersive summer workshops. It organizes an annual Odissi festival, monthly student performances, workshop series with guest masters, and community cultural events. The Trust also presents the annual Alapa Award to outstanding contributors to Odissi music and recognizes student and cultural contributors through additional awards. # Our Classes: - Voice Culture Classes: We offer three voice culture classes per month, helping students develop their vocal skills and technique. - Special Classes: We have four special classes every month, providing students with comprehensive training in Odissi music. - Monthly Performance Sessions: At the end of each month, we organize performance sessions to assess students' progress and provide a platform for them to showcase their talents. # Recording Studio: Alapa Cultural Trust is equipped with a state-of-the-art recording studio where every student gets a chance to record their songs every month. This provides them with a unique opportunity to preserve their performances and track their progress. # Mega Odissi Music Festival: Every year, Alapa Cultural Trust hosts a mega Odissi music festival, providing students with a grand platform to demonstrate their skills and talents. #Special Initiatives: - Special Scheme for Differently-Abled Children: We offer free classes to specially-abled children, providing them with opportunities to develop their musical talents and build confidence. - Summer Camp: Our annual summer camp offers intense training in Odissi music, featuring renowned gurus who impart knowledge on talas and ragas. The camp culminates in a performance session, open to all interested participants.
