Udayanuraga

Every dancer’s journey begins with practice, but it truly comes alive on stage. Udayanuraga, presented by UDRA – Utkal Dance & Research Academy, creates that special space for dancers to step forward, perform and express their art.

Organised on the occasion of the 23rd Kumar Ustav and Guru Sahadev Padhi Memorial Award Festival 2026, Udayanuraga celebrates solo Odissi and semiclassical dance under the theme “Where Tradition Meets Expression.” Each participant gets up to 6 minutes on stage to present a solo performance and become part of a larger cultural celebration.

The event will be held on 4 November 2026 from 11:00 AM onwards at the Odissi Research Centre, Jaydev Vihar, Bhubaneswar. Every participant will receive a memento, professional photographs and video of their performance, and a lunch box.

Participation is ₹1,500 per performer, with limited performance slots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Whether you are looking to gain stage experience, share a performance you have been preparing, or simply celebrate your journey as a dancer, Udayanuraga offers an opportunity to bring your practice to the stage and let your expression tell the story.
