About Me

Sasmita Panda is one of the young and promising Odissi dancers and a distinguished member of the internationally acclaimed Gunjan Dance Repertory. A devoted disciple of renowned Odissi exponent and choreographer Smt. Meera Das, Sasmita entered the world of Odissi at a very tender age, immersing herself in the classical essence and subtle intricacies of the form. Under the nurturing guidance of her Guru, she absorbed the soulful spirit of Odissi—grace, precision, and expressive depth. Over the years, she has developed her own artistic identity while retaining the lyrical beauty and spiritual sensitivity that mark the Gunjan style. Her natural expressiveness and fluid body movements have become the hallmark of her performances.
